How are Himalayas divided longitudinally as himadri,himachal and shivaliks even though longitudes are east to west divisions and latitudes are north to south divisions
The Himalayas consists of three parallel ranges in the LONGITUDINAL EXTENT which means that an area covering from Jammu and Kashmir in the west to Arunachal Pradesh in the east. In this longitudinal extent the north to south divisions are Himadri, Himachal and Shivaliks.
