How are tendons and ligaments connedctive tissues?

Tendons and ligaments are dense connective tissues. They form strong rope like structures with sparse cells arranged in an extracellular matrix. There are fibroblasts as well that manufacture the cells. Tendons connect muscles to bones while ligaments connect bones to bones.
