We can remove algae from water by using following methods:-
1. Flocculation:- In this method algae was removed in the form of flakes by adding clarifying agent in the water such as alum, calcium oxide, iron sulphate etc.
2. Micro screening:- In this method algae is screened out or removed from the water by using micro screens (filters that are made to remove particles of size 15 micron to 250 micron).
3. Centrifugation:- In this method algae is removed by sedimenting it using centrifugal force.
We can remove algae from water by using following methods:-
