1) After returning from South Africa, Gandhiji started a new method of mass agitation which is known as Satyagraha. He believed that mass processions and demonstration without violence could make the people participate in national movement and this was the objective of Satyagraha

2) Satyagraha emphasised the power of truth and the need to search for truth. According to him, a Satyagrahi could win the battle or struggle through non – violence

3) By this struggle, truth leads to triumph and Gandhiji believed that the dharma of non – violence could unite all Indians in the participation of national movement
