Question

how do microbes survive environmental conditions?

Open in App
Solution

Hi Suvo,

The cell body of microorganisms is surrounded by a very thick outer covering which protects them from the effect of harsh environmental conditions. They also have the capacity of forming hard structures called spores. These spores can survive in harsh surroundings and when favourable conditions return, these spores give rise to new microorganisms.

Hope this answer is useful to you,

Cheers!
