Question

how do plants get nutrition ?

Open in App
Solution

The sources of nutrients for plants are air, water and soil. The water and other mineral nutrients are absorbed from the soil through roots and carbon dioxide is taken in through leaves. Plants carry out photosynthesis using water and carbon dioxide to synthesize their own food. The transportation of food from the leaves to other parts of the plant occurs in the vascular tissue, namely the phloem through the process of translocation.
