Question

How do plants respire in the morning during photosynthesis

Open in App
Solution

Respiration in plant takes place through stomata and lenticels during morning and daytime. Stomata are special cells present on leaf surface which open and close in response to several factors including light and thus gaseous exchange takes place through their openings. Lenticels are pores present in stem or bark where exchange of gases takes place.
