Question

How do scientists extrapolate total number of species on earth?

Open in App
Solution

Scientists draw a pyramid in which the number of organisms at each higher level is less than the lower level. Scientists tried to find out the discovery of organisms from 1750 onwards and found out that the rate of discovery kept on decreasing so using this method they predicted the number of species on earth and their predictions was good but their result has still not been verified.
