How do substances like carbon dioxide and oxygen move in and out of the cell?Discuss

Solution

Carbon dioxide and oxygen move in and out of the cell through diffusion.
Diffusion is defined as movement of particles of a fluid from relatively high concentration to a place with low concentration.
Upon respiration, the concentration of oxygen is lower inside the cell than the surrounding blood. So oxygen move into the cell. And concentration of carbon dioxide inside the cell increases to higher level than the surrounding blood, so carbon dioxide diffuses out the cell.
