How does a bullet fired from a gun spin?

The gun is made in such a manner that the bullet spins when it is fired. On way of doing it is by constructing spiral passway in the barrel. The bullet is made to spin because a spinning bullet can move in a much stable path in the air than a bullet not spinning.
