How does a starfish digest its food ?

Starfish swallow their prey whole and the process of digestion starts in cardiac part of stomach. The semi-digested fluid is passed into the pyloric stomachs and caeca where digestion continues and absorption follows. Further process of digestion occurs in pyloric stomach. Their diets includes oysters, arthropods etc.
