How does AIDS spread through blood to blood contact

AIDS is caused by a HIV virus. This virus infects the immune system. The virus is commonly present in the fluids of body like blood, semen etc. So, if blood of an infected person comes in contact with the blood of healthy person say during blood transfusions, virus enters into the body of healthy person, multiply there and cause AIDS.
