She was sure that her mother would not have even touched a before she met Anne's father and also her sister Margot would not kiss a boy unless there were some engagement talks.
She was worried about the reaction of her family. But she was blaming their present situation too. They were locked inside the Secret Annexe fearful and anxious, and when they got comfort in each other's arms then why they shouldn't be part of it.
