Question

how does cabondioxide or oxygen move across the cell membrane?

Open in App
Solution

The process behind movement of carbon dioxide and oxygen across the cell membrane is called diffusion. Cell membrane is permeable to small molecules like oxygen and carbon dioxide. They can easily pass through the membrane along the pressure gradient. They diffuse from high partial pressure of the particular gas to its area with low partial pressure.
