HIV is a virus which cannot be seen with naked eyes but when seen with very strong microscopes it can be seen as spherical structure. A lot of research is going on to find its cure but exact cure is not available. It can be diagnosed by performing ELISA in laboratories, yes it does multiply by integrating itself with the host.
