Solution
Human saliva is a watery solution that is made up of 99.5% water and 0.5 % other substances like electrolytes, mucus enzymes and other antimicrobial substance. Saliva contain Lysozyme and secretory IgA, which has antimicrobial property.
Lysozyme can damage bacterial cell wall by the hydrolysis of it.
Lysozyme is also found in tears and has the same function.
Our sweat glands present on skin also produce such chemicals that kill or inhibit many microbes.
Nasal secretions contain nasal mucus. This viscous secretion is able to trap bacteria of many infectious disease from entering our respiratory system. Nasal mucus also contain lysozyme which kills germs.
