Question

How does salty water affects buoyant force?

Open in App
Solution

We know the buoyant force is given by

FB = weight of displaced liquid

= (ρ V )*g

Where ρ = density of liquid

V = volume displaced liquid

g = acceleration due to gravity.

Density of the salty water is more than the density of water. So, buoyant force on the object which is fully immersed in the liquid increases
