how does snow and hails are formed instead of rainwater ?

Open in App
Solution

Snow is a form of precipitation that occurs in colder regions where temperature is less than zero degree Celsius, the freezing point of water. The formation of hail and snow actually depends upon the temperature of the surrounding and the temperature of the air. When temperature is less than zero degrees, the water vapour present in the atmosphere condense into snow instead of water droplet. These ice particles then stick together and fall as snow.

Thus snow and hail storm occur are formed due to condensation of water vapour into ice when the temperature is less than zero degrees.
