Question

how does solid state exist as the molecules are closely or tightly packed in the state. then electrons also are packed together.

do not they repel each other as there is no boundary around aton to reduce repelling effect?

Solution

In solid states there are strong forces of attraction between the molecules /ions of a solid and it is because of these forces that structural units of solids(atoms /ions/unit cell) do not possess any translatory motion like liquids .

In solids because of long range order of ions , lattice is quite stable and electrical neutrality of solid is maintained.
