How does sperms reach the ovum or the egg in female ?

Solution

Semen released by the male into the vagina of female has millions of sperm. Motile sperms run very fast and pass through the cervix and uterus and reach a place called as junction of ampulla and isthmus in fallopian tube. Released ovum from ovary also reaches to this point. At isthmus-ampulla junction fertilization takes place by fusion of sperm with ovum.
