Solution

Different types of plant hormones called, phytohormones, coordinate growth and development in plants. These are auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, and abscisic acid.
Auxin is a growth hormone that promotes cell elongation in plants, and is very important for plant body movement. It is auxin that causes bending of a stem towards light.
Gibberellins are also auxin like, causing stem growth.
Another group of plant hormones cytokinins promotes cell division and present in plants parts having rapid cell division
Besides these hormones, there is a group of hormones that ceases growth thus it has inhibiting effect. These are abscisic acids.
Thus these hormones play a key role in control and coordination in plants. Some of them have growth promoting effects and some are inhibiting in their action.
