How does the solid waste disposed off?

Solid waste can be disposed off by three methods-

• Landfills- In this method waste materials are dumped off in an abandoned area located farther from cities. This is the most commonest method used to dispose the solid waste.
• Incineration- It includes burning of solid waste in furnaces at high temperatures and converting them into gaseous residues.
• Composting- In this method micro-organisms convert the organic matter of solid waste into manure.
