what are fat cells?

Open in App
Solution

Like other body cells blood cells do not reproduce by mitosis or meiosis of the cell but are produced by bone marrow, thymus glands, lymph nodes or spleen. The WBC that are killed when fighting with germs are replenished immediately by the above mentioned specific parts of the body.

The cells that join to make up the body fat are known as fat cells. The main function of these cells is to store fat for future supply of energy. When we eat more calories that are necessary for our body, it is stored as fat inside the fat cells.
