Question

how heat is used to produce electricity in thermal power plant?

Open in App
Solution

The steam is produced through heating of water. Most power plants have a good source of water and are located near water bodies. They take in water and there are multiple stages of heating. They are generally superheated(even beyond the boiling temperature of water) and then sent into steam turbines for production of electricity, which uses power of steam to rotate.
