How is body cavity important in classfying the organism ?

Depending upon the presence or absence of true body cavity organisms can be classified into three categories – Acoelomate (no cavity), Pseudocoelomate (no true cavity) and coelomate (true cavity). Acoelomates are the simplest organisms present on earth where as true body cavity is mostly present in higher organisms. Thus presence of body cavity indicates a hierarchal level in classification of organisms.
