How is induction different from conduction?

Open in App
Solution

Charging by Induction:-

The phenomenon according to which an equal and opposite charge is induced on an uncharged body when a charged body is held close to it is called charging by induction.

Charging by conduction:-

Conduction, unlike induction is a process in which the objects actually physically touch each. In this case, transfer of charges is possible from a body at higher potential to a body at lower potential.
