how liquid exerted by pressure
The molecules in a fluid are more free to move around. They continuously keep on colliding with the walls of the container. It takes a certain amount of force for the container to make them bounce off. Pressure = Force/Area, so if you divide the force of the particles by the surface area of the container, you'll get the pressure on the container. The force, in turn, depends on how big the molecules are and how fast their moving, which depends on the nature of the substance and also it's temperature. Temperature is the average kinetic energy of the molecules in the fluid, so the higher the temperature, the faster the molecules, on average, are moving, the more force they each exert when colliding with the walls of the container and the more pressure there will be on the container as a whole.
