Hi,

There are numbers of isomers of hexene (C₆H₁₂). Few isomers are given below having parent chain containig 6-C atoms.

1. CH₂=CH-CH₂-CH₂-CH₂-CH₃ Hex-1-ene

2. CH₃-CH=CH-CH₂-CH₂-CH₃ Hex-2-ene

3. CH₃-CH₂-CH=CH-CH₂-CH₃ Hex-3-ene

Try to draw the structures of other isomers by yourself.

Hint-

• Take longest chain of 5 C-atoms containing double bonds and one branch of one C-atom.
• Take longest chain of 4 C-atoms containing double bonds and two branches each one C-atom.

In both above hints just change the position of double bond and brach to get various isomers.
