The India faces disasters like drought, flash flood, Tsunami, landslide and earthquake.The damages caused by these natural disasters are :
Many natural disasters cause massive loss of life and property. For e.g. frequent summer dust storms and drought in western India causes extensive life, property, livestock and crops damage. Hail is also common in many parts of India, causing severe damage to standing crops such as rice and wheat.
Landslides are common in lower Himalayas. It causes destruction of human settlement and vegetation. Sometimes it damages the transportation route causing travel delay and other side effects.
Floods are the most common natural disaster mainly in central India. It kills thousands and displaces millions. Excess, erratic and untimely monsoon rainfall may also wash away and ruin crops.
Similar are the damages and loss caused by other disasters like earthquake and cyclone etc.
