Question

how temp matter on resistance of material

Open in App
Solution

The temperature coefficient of resistance of the material of a substance is the ratio of increase in resistance per unit increase in temperature to its resistance at 00 c.

The temperature co-efficient of resistance is very small in the case of alloys.

The resistivity of semi-conductors also decrease with the increase in temperature

When the temperature is increased more collision of electrons take place thereby increasing the resistance.
