Question

how to calculate potential difference when work done and charge is given

Open in App
Solution

Electrostatic potential at any point in a region of electrostatic field is the minimum work done in carrying a unit positive charge (without acceleration) from infinity to that point and is given by :-
V = Wq where q is the charge.
Hence, work done = charge X potential diference
