Open in App
Solution

  1. Take 100ml of water.
  2. Measure out 0.5g of the salt and add it to the water. Stir to dissolve.
  3. Note down the mass of salt added.
  4. Measure out more salt and repeat steps 2 and 3.
  5. Continue with the procedure with taking lower amounts of salt, 0.1-0.2g.
  6. Stop the process once the salt does not go into the solution.
  7. Add up the total amount of salt added except the last addition which did not dissolve.
  8. The total mass of salt added to 100ml water is its solubility. Solubility is expressed as g of solute (salt) per 100ml of solvent.
