How to find the speed of Electromagnetic Waves?
speed of a wave can be calculated form the following relation
v = νλ,
where, v = velocity of the wave
ν = Frequency of the wave
λ = wavelength of the wave.
Hertz experimentally found that, the speed of electromagnetic waves of different wavelengths and thus different frequencies, possess same velocity 3 x 108 m/s, which is the speed of light. Thus, speed of electromagnetic waves do no depend upon the wavelength or frequency of the wave.
