Earthquake resistant structures are designed to resist the earthquake forces, in order to minimise the destructions caused by eartquakes.

Here are some suggestion for earthquake resistant houses.

- Do not use Glass , as it may crack easily and cause injury during an eartquake.

- There should be 1-2 floors of houses, not more than this.

- All the elements of buildings such as wall and roof should be tied together.

- All materials used for building a house should be of good quality .
