Solution

Virus infect living cells and gain entry into it. It then releases its genetic material into the host cell cytoplasm which either remain in free form or get integrated into host genome. Viral genome is then replicated using host cell machinery and viral proteins are synthesised. All the structural components are then assembled to form new virus particles which then lyse the host cell and come out of it to infect other cells.
