Solution

Hi Pushty!

The magnetic North Pole of the Earth is situated at the geographic South Pole and the magnetic South Pole of the Earth is situated at the geographic North Pole. So, the North Pole of the magnetic needle is actually pointing towards the South Pole of the Earth’s magnet (That is, towards the geographic north).

Cheers!!
