If a coin and a piece of paper are dropped simuntaneously in a vacuum, which one will reach the ground first? Why? The best answer will get a like.

Solution

In the vacuum, there is no air so when the paper falls under gravity there will be no effective resistive force acting on it. Due to this the paper piece as well as the coin falls under the influence of gravity so, the acceleration of both the coin and paper will be equal to acceleration due to gravity, g. As for both the objects are falling with same acceleration from the same height simultaneously, so they will reach the ground at the same instant of time.
