if a fruit has more no.of cotyledons then it is called as monocots or dicots

Cotyledons are the future leaf of the plant and they are present in the seed and not the fruit. Seeds have either one cotyledon or two cotyledon, but not more than that. If they have one cotyledon, then they are called monocots and if they have two then they are called dicots.
