There would be gravitational acceleration g.The stone will reach the first but the value of acceleration g is independent of the shape,size mass etc.of the body but depends upon mass and radius of the earth or planet due to which there is a gravity pull.When two bodies of different masses(here the elephant and stone are of different masses) are allowed to fall from same height in vacuum,they reach the earth at the same time.
