Question

if hcl is acid and mucus is alkalin then which salt is produced in our stomach

Open in App
Solution

Mucus is not alkaline it is just natural defence against acids. It is a way to bind up with excess of acid and get them out of the body. But too much of mucus is also dangerous because the mucus-acid mixture is sticky and congestive, causing poor digestion.
