if hydrogen is flammble and oxygen helps in combustion so why their compound is ysed for extuingishing fire or why it is not flammable or supporter of combustion

The compound of hydrogen and oxygen used for extinguishing fire is water.

Water contains oxygen and hydrogen in bonded state.There is no O2 molecule and H2 molecule in water.When water is put on a fire it absorbs heat which is needed for the continuation of fire. Secondly, it separates the fuel from the oxidizer (air) thus preventing them from combining.In this way fire is stopped.
