if metal oxide reacts with base and non metallic oxide reacts with acid what will happen ?

Most of the non -metal oxides are acidic in nature while the metallic oxides are basic in nature, so a metallic oxide when reacts with a base or a non metallic oxide reacts with an acid there will be no reaction as an acid can not react with an acid or a base can not react with a base.

However, depending on the conditions provided the reactions may occur but that would be according to the nature of the reactants.
