IF THE RADIUS OF THE GAUSSIAN SURFACE ENCLOSING A CHARGE IS HALVED HOW DOES THE ELECTRIC FLUX THROUGH THE GAUSSIAN SURFACE CHANGE
Open in App
Solution
The Gauss law says the flux though the surface will be equal to the charge enclosed by it. So if the charge is still enclosed by the reduced surface then the flux of the electric field is still the same. In this case the electric field lines will be more dense, but the flux is the same as before.
