Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are inversely related.
In Photosynthesis the carbon dioxide is converted into organic compounds from sunlight. It occurs in plants, algae, and some bacteria.
Cellular respiration takes glucose (sugar) and other organic compounds oxidizing them to create carbon dioxide.
Both depend on one another in order for the "entire cycle" to take place. If rate of respiration is more than the rate of photosynthesis then whole destruction of glucose and other organic compounds occurs leading to death in plants.
