Question

if velocity of an object is doubled, what is the change in its kinetic energy

Open in App
Solution

Since the kinetic energy of a object is 1/2 m v 2

Therefore if we somehow double the velocity then the kinetic energy will be 1/2 m ( 2v )2 = 2mv2

So therfore the kinectic energy becomes 4 times
