Question

if we take some water in a beaker then pour some oil on it and put the beaker outside in the sun, will the water evaporate? and if we start heating the same beaker will the water boil?

Solution

Dear student!

Water and oil do not mix and due to lower densities the oil floats over water so, by heating or by exposure to sunlight, the water molecule will definitely evaporate.

However, if the oil is little miscible then the rate of evaporation can be slower but still the evaporation will occur.
