if white light is used in youngs double slit experiment, what is the colour of the bright fringe closest on either side of the central fringe?

Solution

If source is of white colour, interference fringes are coloured and their widths are unequal. The interference pattern due to white light overlap incoherently. Central fringe is white, now it is a known fact that blue has lower $λ$ .
So, the fringe closest to the either side of central fringe is red and the farthest is blue.
