There are many applications of Archemedes Principle. Some of them are:
1. Floatation of a ship or boat on sea or river: It is possible because the weight of the volume of water displaced by the ship or boat is less than the weight of the ship or boat.
2. Submarine changes its depth below water using Archemedes Principle: There is a large tank inside a submarine. This tank when filled with water makes the submarine to go below water. When the tank is emptied and air is allowed to fill it, then the submarine moves up and loses depth.
3. Hot air balloon rises in air due to Archemedes Principle: The density of hot air is less than air at normal temperature. As a result the air within the balloon is lighter than the air outside. Hence, the balloon rises up.
