Let pupils playing basket ball = A= 40%
Pupils playing volleyball = B= 25 %
Pupils playing both basketball and volleyball = AB=10%
We know that ,
n(AB)=n(A)+n(B)-n(AB)Putting value we get, n(AB)=40+25-10=55 %So percentage of the pupils playing neither basketball nor volleyball=n(AB)'=U-n(AB)'=100-55 =45%
