Solution

Long range order- means the arrangement of constituent particles( i.e ions, atom or molecules) is regular. It repeats itself in all direction in three dimensions. This results in definite geometrical shape of crystalline solids. Short range order- It means that regular arrangement of particles is only in small region. This type of arrangement is in amorphous solids.
